Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-11-01

1. The service. QuantZ provides market data visualization, analytics, backtesting, and AI-assisted research tools ("the Service"). The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

2. Who you are contracting with. The Service is provided by QuantZ, a sole proprietorship operating from the Province of Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"), at 399 Spring Garden Ave, North York, Ontario, Canada. References to QuantZ in these terms mean that business. You can reach us at sales@quantz.online or through the contact page.

3. Not financial advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. AI-generated content can be wrong. Charts, indicators, signals, backtests, and briefs are informational tools only. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions.

4. Risk disclosure. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance — including backtested performance — is not indicative of future results. Backtests are hypothetical, apply simplified fill models, and do not reflect real execution. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose.

5. Data. Market data is aggregated from third-party venues and our own storage; simulated data is labeled as such (SIM badges). We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability of any data feed.

6. Accounts. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and enabling two-factor authentication. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or attempt to disrupt it. You can delete your account yourself from Settings → Security. Deleting it does not cancel a subscription: you cancel separately, in Settings → Billing, and the account cannot be deleted while a plan would still charge. Deleting an account whose plan you have already cancelled ends its access at once, including any time left in the period you paid for. The Privacy Policy says what deletion removes and what it keeps, and you can export your data yourself first.

7. Subscriptions. Paid plans are billed through Stripe and renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. You can cancel two ways: one click on Settings → Billing ("Open billing portal") opens Stripe’s own billing portal for your account, where you cancel with no email needed; or email sales@quantz.online from your account address. Either way cancellation stops the next renewal, and the period you have already paid for stays open until it ends. Cancelling does not refund the period already paid for. If something you paid for is broken and is not fixed promptly, we refund the charge for it. Email sales@quantz.online from your account address within 14 days of that charge. None of this limits a right to cancel or to a refund that the law where you live gives you.

Your first Analyst or Desk subscription includes 1 month free (30 days), with monthly or annual billing. One trial per account. A card is required; no subscription payment is due today. The trial starts when you complete checkout. After the trial, the full selected monthly or annual price is charged automatically and the subscription renews at that interval until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.

8. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuantZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including trading losses, arising from use of the Service.

9. Changes. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced in the changelog.

10. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account, and creating one asks for your date of birth to check this. The Service is offered worldwide. You may not use it if doing so would breach the law or sanctions applicable to you, and you are responsible for knowing whether that is so.

11. Creator marketplace. There is no creator marketplace. It is disabled and refused at the network edge, nothing is offered or sold through it, and no terms govern it. If it is ever opened, its terms will be published before it accepts anyone.

12. Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the courts of the Province of Ontario.

13. Disputes. Disputes are decided by the courts named in section 12. There is no arbitration agreement and no class-action waiver in these terms. Nothing here removes a right you cannot be asked to give up under the law where you live, or stops you complaining to a consumer-protection or data-protection authority.

14. Your content. You keep ownership of what you create in QuantZ: strategies, journal entries, the drawings and notes on your charts, watchlists, alerts and pre-registrations. You give us a non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that content only to run the Service for you, and to show it to other people only where you choose to publish or share it. You are responsible for having the right to anything you upload. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

15. Our service and other people’s rights. The software, design and text of the Service, and the QuantZ name and logo, belong to us or to our licensors. Using the Service gives you no other rights in them. Open-source components are used under their own licences. The licences page lists the web app’s, with the fonts and the model we run. Names of indicators, products and companies may be trademarks of their owners, and we use them only to identify those things.

16. Acceptable use. You may not scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service beyond what it offers. You may not get around rate limits, plan limits or security measures. You may not reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this term. You may not resell, sublicense or share your access. Market data, and data derived from it, is provided for your own use in the Service: you may not redistribute, republish or resell it, or use it to build a competing data product. You may not post unlawful, infringing or abusive content, or interfere with the Service or with other users.

17. Copyright complaints. If you believe content on QuantZ infringes your copyright, write to thezhou@quantz.online or to the postal address in section 2. Say which work you believe is infringed; which material infringes it and where it is (its URL); how to reach you; that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and that your notice is accurate and you own the copyright or are authorised to act for its owner. Sign the notice. We review each notice. We may remove or disable the material and tell the person who posted it, who may respond. Where the law of Canada or of another country sets a specific procedure for these notices, we follow it. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
