Technical Signal
One word describing what the indicators currently show. In the screener it is a restatement of the Momentum Score in words — nothing else enters it — and the terminal’s Details tab prints the same words on a technical signal of its own, a different 0–100 blend published below. Either way it is not a view on what happens next.
What this label is not
It is not a recommendation, and it did not become one by being coloured green. This column was once headed with the language of advice and carried a two-word instruction to trade — a verb aimed at the reader, identical whether that reader was a retiree or a day trader. That is advice we are not licensed to give, so the words describe the indicators instead. The underlying number never changed.
It also inherits every limit of the score beneath it: two same-day inputs, and no out-of-sample test against forward returns. A STRONG BULLISH row is a statement about today’s tape, not evidence about tomorrow’s.

The bands
Five postures, cut from the 0–100 score. The boundaries are deliberately reproduced as they run in code, including the asymmetry: the bullish edges are inclusive (≥) while the middle ones are exclusive (>). That is how the shipped function behaves, so it is what is published.

There are two band sets
The indicator scan endpoint (/api/scan, for signed-in accounts) cuts a different number with wider extremes: its own blend of RSI, MACD, Bollinger %b and volume on daily bars, which is not the Momentum Score. A 76 there and a 76 in the screener are two different readings, and they are not labelled alike. No screen shows that endpoint’s label today. The live quote stream carries no score and no posture at all.

A score that is not a finite number reads NEUTRAL in both sets — never a default posture that flatters the tape.
The same words on the Details tab’s technical signal
A symbol’s Details tab shows a 0–100 technical signal with one of these postures beside it, cut by the screener’s band set above. That number is not the Momentum Score, so the same symbol can read differently in the two places: it is a blend of three readings of the symbol’s daily bars, each first mapped onto 0–100.

Each reading is clamped to 0–100 before the blend, and the blend is rounded. With a short history the average uses every close available, the return looks back as far as the bars allow, and a missing RSI counts as 50. It carries the same limit as every reading here: it describes the bars, it is not a forecast, and it has no out-of-sample test against forward returns.
Both tables are rendered from the same exported bands the labelling function reads. If a threshold moves, this page moves with it.
